SOLVENT REFINED AND HYDROFINISHED HIGH V.I. OILSHollyFrontier Base Stocks are high VI, solvent neutral oils. Produced at our Tulsa refinery from select mid-continent crude oils, they are manufactured by severe solvent refining followed by hydrofinishing to provide you with an excellent, high quality base for your own blended or compounded products.
HollyFrontier’S GROUP 1+ BASE OILS ARE UNIQUEConsistently on-spec, they have the highest saturate levels of Group I oils, and low volatility as measured by NOACK. Couple that with their relatively low sulfur content and you have the potential to compound your finished lubricants at lower cost than by using other Group I, Group II or Group III oils for the same purpose.
HIGH SATURATESKnowing that saturate content is a key driver of lubricant quality, we only produce basestocks with a very precise, optimum saturate range. While Group I basestocks typically range from 69-89% saturate levels, HollyFrontier’s Group I+ basestocks are produced exclusively between 85-89% saturates. |
